Owners Mike and Gayle and the Gem Sewing teams share a simple goal: help every customer feel welcome, supported and excited about the next project.
Co-owner & machine repair technician
Mike brings a lifelong talent for mechanical problem-solving to sewing machine service. He is also an avid sewer and quilter who enjoys helping customers understand their machines, choose fabric and move projects forward.

Gayle helps lead Gem Sewing and the welcoming, community-minded approach behind both stores. She and Mike are proud to support customers and creative makers across Northern Ontario.
Customer service
Diane combines a genuine love of people with extensive quilting knowledge. Her positive energy and eye for fabric can be seen in the beautiful sample quilt tops she creates for the store.
New Liskeard team
A teacher by trade and enthusiastic quilter, Jennifer loves bright colours, bold patterns and large-block quilts that let beautiful fabric take centre stage.

Sudbury store manager
Sylvie brings extensive Brother product knowledge, creative experience and hands-on machine expertise to the Sudbury store. Customers may also know her custom embroidery work through Crafts by SVDENIS.
